The album was certified quadruple platinum by Recording Industry Association of America. The album's final single, " Feelings of Forever " failed to reprise the success of Tiffany's three previous singles.

Whether you are reliving the past or discovering this for the first time Tiffany is one of the best debut albums from a female pop star ever.
A friend mentioned Tiffany recently and that sent me here for the MP3 and what a shock. I was expecting the teen pop voice that Debbie and the others of the time had and it seems all young singers still have. Instead I was met with a sometimes raspy sometimes delicate voice that is beyond the years of Tiffany when this was recorded. Should've Been Me shows that young, raspy voice that some call Stevie Nicks but I think maybe closer to Bonnie Tyler, Danny is very polished and was the first single released, Spanish Eyes is also very polished and smooth with a great bass line.
Feelings of Forever is perhaps the best song on this album, her voice is flawless and I can't help but think that being the 5th single released hurt it in the charts as it struggled into the top A "power ballad" that also had the best video from the album. This is followed by Kid on a Corner which is the song I like the least.
In this one it almost seemed that they realized that she was a kid and wanted her to sing a song like one. I saw Him Standing There puts a 80's pop twist to the Beatles and manages to pull it off wonderfully. Johnny's got a good beat but is only average as is Promises Made. I can't listen to this without seeing her as a teenager hopping around the stage and having fun. The album ends with another ballad, Could've Been.
Her voice shares the pain and hurt as she doesn't just sing but shares the story with us in a way that feels personal. This was towed it as being brand-new however the shrink-wrapped job was so bootleg that I almost had a laugh attack.
I still like it though. The vinyl itself is in near pristine condition. There is a pretty bad tear on the front cover. One person found this helpful. Oldie but goodie! I like the CD. See all reviews. Top reviews from other countries. Tiffany's first album needs a 30th anniversary re-release this year if only to dispel the unfair notion she is a one hit wonder.
Known for 'I Think We're Alone Now' people forget that this eponymous debut gave her three top ten hits and features some great album tracks. Indeed either of these or a re-release of 'Danny' would have been a better choice than 'Feelings of Forever', her fourth single from the album, which stalled outside the top The chorus of 'Feelings The only other minor niggle is a pointless Beatles cover but the rest is really solid stuff.
The truth is that Tiffany's debut holds up amazingly well and blows away the conveyor belt of auto-tuned clones that infect the charts.
To see how far Tiffanys music has evolved I recommend listening to 'The Color of Silence', an assured beautiful album, sadly not given the promotion it deserved. But start here and rediscover a sparkling, vibrant moment in '80s pop.
I bought the CD as I had it when I was young and wanted to recapture my youth. Not as good as I remember, although still has a few gems on it such as the still popular "I think we're alone now" and "Could've been". Replacing my original cassette. Still one of my favourite albums. Full of good 80s pop. Report abuse. Stepping back in time Best album. In , we introduced the Tiffany® Setting, the world’s most iconic engagement ring.
