The first five tracks are excellent examples how to mix house and dnb with a P-funk attitude, and also make good songs. then the record goes slowly down. they lose the straightness, wander in beats and samples and couldn't find the way back, and in the end you'll be disappointed. but still they got potential.4/5().

  5. I don't think there's any reason to get the Japanese version unless you're a completest. Other than that, Rooty is a great album. I'd probably suggest The Singles is understandably your best bet for a Basement Jaxx album purchase, but you can't go wrong with any of their full albums/5(92).
