Back For The Attack is just such a quintessential '80s metal album - nearly every song will inspire you to throw "devil horns" in the air and lip sync in your car. This is the 4th album released in by Dokken. The band is on absolute fire on this one. The album starts with the furious "Kiss Of Death" which is about aids - a new issue at the time and ends with the title track as a bonus track on the Japan import. I can't speak enough about this album. It is truly the Dokken masterpiece.
U want to start here if you're a new Dokken fan and go backwards and then forward. Seriously, a not a bad song in this 14 track assault.
I give five stars only because I love this LP, but it was in worse condition than I expected! It had four skips two on one song , but it could've been worse like a loop skip! Just a little bitter sweet I guess! This album and Tooth and Nail are the best Dokken has to offer. The heaviest Dokken album with George Lynch going nuts. You can't go wrong if you are in the mood for some 80's hair metal.
This is my favourite Dokken album!! It's the best by a mile!!! The guitar solos are insane and the songs are excellent! This will always be a classic hard rock album! I have 3 different versions of this album!!! Namespaces Article Talk. Views Read Edit View history. Help Learn to edit Community portal Recent changes Upload file. The song was originally released as a single in through Carrere Records exclusively in Europe, appearing as the b-side to the "I Can't See You" single. The song was a modest success, peaking at 32 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart. The song remained on the chart for 13 weeks.
Music video A video was produced for the song. It begins cutting between the band performing the song in a house and performing on a black stage.
The band is later chained up in a dungeon before George Lynch breaks free and performs the song's solo. As Lynch performs the solo the other band members break free one by one.
After the solo, Don Dokken wakes up chained to a bed, alone, before breaking free. The video ends with shots of the band performing in the house, in the dungeon, and against a backdrop of chains that explode as the video ends. Jeff Pilson appears in the video on bass as Juan Croucier had left the band before filming began.

Definitely lower tier, in fact, possibly their worst. TexasBuck and Matthew Tate like this. Matthew Tate , Jun 26, Purple and paradox55 like this. Location: Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. The video for Dream Warriors was tacked on at the end of the movie. Around this same time my friend at summer camp had the cassette of Tooth And Nail. I was instantly hooked. Loved it.. For me Breaking The Chains is their weakest effort.

Bloody Disgusting. A Nightmare on Elm Street. Jason A Nightmare on Elm Street Jason vs. Dokken himself, are no slouch either. A perfect album in every regard! This was Dokken firing on all cylinders. Are a few of my favorites from this record. One person found this helpful. See all reviews. Top reviews from other countries. Don Dokken could melodiously sung at a high pitch for the Back for the Attack album.
I have been most impressed with all 14 songs of the Back for the Attack album year Neil Kernon could excellently produced both "Back for the Attack" and "Excess all areas" albums of Dokken and Shy bands at the same year. This newly digitally remastered U. CD of good sound quality, but it's too bad Rock Candy Records didn't published complete lyrics in a booklet for the album.
Back for the Attack has been the album suitable for listeners love hard rock music with sweetness. Report abuse. Superb dokken classic - their last album - which kicks off with the hynoptising kiss of death. I love Dream warriors which features in a Freddy Kruger film the best in the series but George lynch is definately more scarier cause he's mr scary!!! The best Dokken From their heydays.
Crackin' album. Not Dokken's best, thats is Under Lock and Key, but still very good. The funny thing about this song was that it was pretty much the biggest reason I went to see the movie in the first place. Oddly enough, I think Dream Warriors was pretty much the last horror movie I ever bothered to go see in the theaters. This is where Dokken put it all together and produced from start to finish their absolute best album!
I never got to see Dokken live during their best years. After this album and the succeeding live release, they broke up amidst that recurring feuding I mentioned before. But when they got back together the first time anyway , I saw them live thanks to a friend having a free pass for me.The Best of Dokken is a compilation album by the American heavy metal band Dokken, released only in Japan. This compilation was the first official compact disc appearance of the track "Back for the Attack," which was previously only included as a B-side to the " Dream Warriors " single available on vinyl and cassette.
